SPOUSE / CIVIL PARTNER
VISA

This visa allows married partners of UK citizens to immigrate to the UK and live with their spouse.

UNMARRIED PARTNER
VISA

This visa allows the unmarried partner to enter or remain in the UK on the basis that they are in a long term relationship with a person who is present and 'settled in the UK'.

FIANCE
VISA

A fiance visa grants you entry to the UK for a period of six months during which time you are required to marry your fiance in the UK. Once you are married you can apply for a spouse visa from within the UK.

DEPENDANT
VISA

Your partner and children ('dependants') may be able to apply to come to the UK or stay longer in the UK. If you are a full-time student on a postgraduate level course or on a work visa.

ADULT DEPENDANT
VISA

An adult family member can only join you in the UK if they have long-term care needs and they need your support in the UK.

PARENT OF A CHILD
VISA

This visa allows a parent to stay in the UK to care for their child. The child must already be in the UK and be a British or Irish citizen, either settled or with pre-settled status.
